Terms of Service

OtherfolkAI ("the Service") is an opinion-panel app: you write a question, a set of large language models answer it, and the app summarises where they agree, disagree and abstain. These terms are the agreement between you and the operator of the Service (the developer contact at the end). By creating an account or using the Service you accept them.

1. Who may use the Service

You must be at least the age of digital consent in your country, and at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, use the Service only with a parent or guardian's permission. You are responsible for anyone who uses the Service with your credentials.

2. Your account

You register with an email address and a password, and we identify you by that email. Keep your password private; you are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account is no longer secure. You may delete your account from Settings at any time.

3. What the Service is — and is not

Model output is opinion, generated on your request. It is not professional, medical, legal, financial or safety advice, and it is not a fact-checked statement. Different models can be confident and wrong. Never act on a verdict alone for anything that carries risk to you or another person. We do not control what the underlying models say, we cannot guarantee that answers are accurate, complete or appropriate, and the panel composition changes over time as models are added, retired or replaced.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Break the law, or use the Service to plan, promote or obtain anything illegal.
• Submit content you do not have the right to use, or that infringes someone else's intellectual property or privacy.
• Harass, defame or target a private individual, or generate sexual, violent or hateful content involving minors.
• Probe, overload or reverse-engineer the Service, scrape its answers, or route requests through your own tools to resell them.
• Abuse the free allowance with disposable accounts, or try to bypass credit limits and regional restrictions.

5. Credits, subscriptions and payment

Every account can ask a limited number of free questions each calendar month. A paid plan raises that allowance. The exact numbers are shown on the plans screen in the app, which is the place to look when you want the current figure.

Paid plans are sold through the Apple App Store and Google Play, and managed by RevenueCat, so:

• Payment is charged to your store account when you confirm the purchase.
• Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel; the renewal charge happens within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• You can cancel at any time in your store account settings; cancelling stops the next renewal and the current period runs to its end.
• Unused credits do not roll over between months.
• Refunds are handled by Apple and Google under their own policies, not by us.
• Prices can change; a price change never applies to a period you have already paid for.

6. Availability

The Service depends on third-party model providers and hosting. They can be slow, rate-limited or unavailable, and we do not promise any uptime. We may change, suspend or discontinue features, and the mix of models behind a verdict may change without notice.

7. Your questions and the answers you get

You keep the rights to what you submit. You grant us the permission needed to run it through: store your question, the model replies and the resulting verdict so your history works, and display or export them when you ask (for example, sharing a report image). This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except where we must keep a copy for legal or accounting reasons.

Do not submit anything you would not want a language model to process. Do not submit other people's personal data without their say-so.

8. Our rights

The app, its name, logo and design belong to us. Nothing in these terms gives you a licence beyond the right to use the Service as intended.

9. Disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We do not warrant that answers are accurate, that the Service will be uninterrupted, or that it will fit your purpose.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for any loss caused by relying on model output, and our total liability for anything arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid us, if anything, in the twelve months before the claim. Some countries do not allow these limits, and in that case they do not apply to you.

11. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or that puts the Service or other users at risk, and we may remove content that is unlawful or abusive. You can stop using the Service and delete your account whenever you like.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when the Service changes or the law requires it. A material change is announced in the app before it takes effect; carrying on using the Service after that means you accept the new terms.
